Why convert PNG to JPG

Screenshots and exported graphics are often PNG files of several megabytes. JPG at 85–90% quality looks identical for photos and most screenshots at a fraction of the size, which matters for government portals that cap uploads at 100–200 KB, email attachments and page speed.

Transparency and quality

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white. Quality 90 is visually lossless for most images; 70–80 gives the best size trade-off; below 60 shows visible artefacts on text and edges.

Frequently asked questions

Start at 85 and lower it only if the portal still rejects the size.

Will the transparent background become black?

No, this tool fills transparency with white.

Can I convert many PNGs at once?

Yes, drop all of them and download each result.
